What is Dolifen used for?": "It is used for the local relief of mild and occasional pain and inflammation caused by minor bumps, bruises, strains, muscle contractures (such as stiff neck), occasional back pain (lumbago), or mild sprains from twists.", "How should I apply Dolifen?": "Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age should apply a small amount of gel (similar to the size of a cherry or a walnut) to the affected area, 3 to 4 times a day, using a gentle massage. The smallest amount possible should be used and for the shortest time possible.", "When should this medication not be used?": "It should not be used if you are allergic to diclofenac or other anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen or acetylsalicylic acid. It should also not be applied to children under 14 years of age, during the last 3 months of pregnancy, on open wounds, burns, eczema, mucous membranes, or large areas of skin.", "What side effects can Dolifen cause?": "The most frequent effects are skin rash, itching, redness, or stinging. A burning sensation or dry skin may also occur. In rare cases, rashes with blisters may occur and, in very rare cases, difficulty breathing or swelling of the face, lips, or tongue.
