    It is used in adults to treat three types of cancer: metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (a rare type of skin cancer), advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma (urinary tract cancer), and advanced renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer). In the case of kidney cancer, it must be used in conjunction with axitinib.
