The medicine is intended for adult patients with newly diagnosed low or intermediate-risk acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), as well as for individuals for whom this disease does not respond to other therapies.

The medicine is used for short-term treatment of diseases when the patient cannot take medication orally. In adults, it helps in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastric ulcers caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and prevents recurrence of bleeding after endoscopy. In children and adolescents (1–18 years), it is used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease.

This medicine is used in adults for the short-term treatment of severe heart failure (up to 48 hours) when other treatment methods are ineffective. In children, it is used for the short-term treatment of severe heart failure or acute heart failure (e.g., after surgery) for a maximum of 35 hours.
