The medicine is used for the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia in adults, adolescents, and children (from 1 year of age) and for the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in adults, adolescents, and children (from 1 year of age). It is also used in adults for the lymphoblastic blast crisis of CML if previous treatment has not been effective.
