The medicinal product is used in the treatment of adults and children with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph-positive ALL). It is also indicated in adults for the treatment of myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative syndromes, hypereosinophilic syndrome, chronic eosinophilic leukemia, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP).
