This medicine is an antibiotic used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria. In adults, it is administered, among other things, in cases of sepsis, severe pneumonia, complicated urinary tract infections, abdominal infections, biliary tract infections, and febrile conditions in immunocompromised individuals. In children, it is used for sepsis, severe pneumonia, complicated urinary tract infections, bacterial meningitis, and febrile conditions in cases of reduced immunity.
