The medicine is used to treat fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, and other fungi (e.g., scalp ringworm, ringworm of the body, hands, groin, and athlete's foot). It may also be used in fungal infections that are secondarily infected by bacteria, for example, in diaper dermatitis.
