This is an antifungal medication used in the treatment of adults and children over 2 years of age in cases of invasive aspergillosis, candidemia (in patients without reduced white blood cell counts), severe fungal infections caused by fungi of the Scedosporium spp. and Fusarium spp. genera, and severe infections caused by Candida spp. fungi resistant to fluconazole. It is also used to prevent infections in high-risk patients following bone marrow transplantation.
