The medicine is used to treat various cancers in adults and children over 5 years of age, such as: certain types of leukemia, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, Ewing's sarcoma, small cell lung cancer, and neuroblastoma. It is also used in preparation for bone marrow transplantation and in the treatment of severe autoimmune diseases, such as lupus nephritis and Wegener's granulomatosis.
