    The medicine is used to treat severe fungal infections of tissues and organs (invasive candidiasis) and fungal infections of the nose, sinuses, or lungs (invasive aspergillosis). It is also used when a fungal infection is suspected in patients with fever and a low white blood cell count, who have not improved after antibiotic treatment.
