The medicine is used in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age for the treatment of reflux esophagitis. In adults, it is also used for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcer disease, Helicobacter pylori infection (in combination with antibiotics), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and other conditions associated with excessive hydrochloric acid secretion.
