The medicine is used to prevent and treat many types of fungal infections in adults and children over 2 years of age (weighing more than 40 kg). It may be used to treat infections caused by fungi of the Aspergillus, Fusarium, and Coccidioides genera, as well as in diseases such as chromoblastomycosis and maduromycosis, and also for prophylaxis in individuals with a weakened immune system.
