The medicine is used in children, adolescents, and adults with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. This is a condition in which the pancreas does not produce enough digestive enzymes. It may occur, among other things, in cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, or after the removal of the pancreas or stomach.
