In adult men, it is used as replacement therapy in the treatment of conditions resulting from testosterone deficiency (male hypogonadism), such as impotence, infertility, decreased libido, fatigue, or depressive moods. It may also be used in delayed puberty or sperm production disorders. Exceptionally, the drug may be used in women for conditions related to an excess of female hormones.
