The medicinal product is used to combat a wide range of bacteria causing infections in adults and children over 1 year of age. It is used, among others, in cases of complicated intra-abdominal, lung, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue infections, as well as infections acquired during childbirth. It may also be used for bloodstream infections or in patients with a reduced white blood cell count presenting with fever of probable bacterial origin.
