This medicine is used to treat cystic fibrosis in patients (aged 6 years and older and weighing at least 25 kg) who have been identified as having specific CFTR gene mutations (R117H or one of the gating mutations: G551D, G1244E, G1349D, G178R, G551S, S1251N, S1255P, S549N or S549R).
