This is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections in adults and children over 1 year of age, such as: lung infections (pneumonia), complicated intra-abdominal infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as infections acquired during or after childbirth. It may also be used in cases of bloodstream infections or in patients with a low white blood cell count presenting with fever caused by bacteria.
