The medicinal product is used in cases of calcium deficiency requiring rapid replenishment, in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and in cases of significantly elevated blood potassium levels (hyperkalemia) with ECG changes. It is also used in poisonings with specific substances, such as calcium channel blockers, magnesium sulfate, fluorides, and oxalates.
