The medicinal product is used in adults for the treatment of severe or progressive secondary hyperparathyroidism leading to bone changes (renal osteodystrophy) in renal failure, in cases of low calcium levels (hypocalcemia) caused by hypoparathyroidism, and in the treatment of hereditary hypophosphatemic rickets.
