1. What COROSAN is and what it is used for

COROSAN contains the active substance dipiridamole, which belongs to a group of medicines called
antithrombotic agents, used to improve blood flow.
COROSAN is indicated for conditions involving increased aggregation of blood components responsible for wound repair (platelets) at the level of the heart, brain, and kidneys.

2. What you need to know before taking COROSAN

Do not take COROSAN

• if you are allergic to dipyridamole or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
• if you have severe heart problems (acute myocardial infarction).

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking COROSAN.
Take COROSAN with caution if you suffer from low blood pressure (hypotension), as excessive doses may cause dilation of small arteries and veins (peripheral vasodilation), resulting in a further excessive decrease in blood pressure.

Other medicines and COROSAN
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.
If you take COROSAN together with other medicines used to prevent blood clotting (anticoagulants), you should undergo a blood test to monitor blood clotting parameters.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
There are no reports in the literature of toxic effects on the mother or fetus following the use of dipyridamole during pregnancy.

Driving and using machines
COROSAN does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.

COROSAN contains lactose
Lactose is a sugar. If your doctor has diagnosed you with an intolerance to certain sugars, contact him or her before taking this medicine.

3. How to take COROSAN

Take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is 4–6 tablets daily, taken in divided doses.
Take COROSAN orally on an empty stomach, one hour before meals.
Follow your doctor's instructions regarding the duration of treatment.
If you take more COROSAN than you should
If you accidentally take too much COROSAN, you may experience stomach and intestinal disturbances (gastrointestinal tract) and headache (cephalaea), which disappear quickly.
In case of accidental overdose, contact your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital.
If you forget to take COROSAN
Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
If you have any doubts about how to use this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

4. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
The following side effects may occur:

• headache (cephalalgia), dizziness;
• nausea and other mild disturbances of the stomach and intestine (gastrointestinal tract);
• changes in the function of veins and arteries, such as dilation or constriction (vasomotor reactions);
• weakness (asthenia);
• skin problems (skin manifestations);
• worsening of chest pain due to reduced oxygen levels in the heart (angina pectoris).

These side effects are rare and, in any case, temporary when COROSAN is taken at the recommended dose. In cases where side effects have been persistent or intolerable to patients, resolution was achieved by discontinuing COROSAN treatment.

5. How to store COROSAN

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging after "EXP.".
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Do not dispose of any medicine via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. This will help protect the environment.

6. Package contents and other information

What COROSAN contains

• The active substance is dipyridamole. Each tablet contains 75 mg of dipyridamole.
• The other ingredients are: maize starch, lactose, talc, magnesium stearate.

COROSAN is available as 75 mg tablets.
The pack contains 30 tablets in a blister pack.
