This medicine is used to treat existing blood clots and to prevent the formation of new ones. It is used to prevent clots before and after surgery, in cases of reduced mobility due to illness, in cancer patients, in cases of unstable angina or after a heart attack, and to prevent clots in dialysis machine tubing.
