This medicine is an anticoagulant that helps prevent the formation of blood clots. It is used to prevent deep vein thrombosis after hip or knee surgery, to prevent clots in the heart in patients with an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), and to treat existing clots in the veins of the legs or the lungs.

The medicinal product is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the muscles, bones, and joints (such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and extra-articular rheumatism), for pain due to extra-rheumatic or post-traumatic inflammation, and for menstrual pain. In the injectable version, it is also used for acute pain due to smooth muscle contractions, such as those in the stomach and intestines.
