It is used to treat various conditions in which the immune system does not function correctly. It is indicated for replacement therapy in patients with antibody deficiency (such as in primary or acquired immunodeficiency syndromes), for protection against measles in at-risk individuals, and for certain autoimmune diseases such as primary immune thrombocytopenia, Guillain-Barré syndrome, Kawasaki disease, CIDP, MMN, and for severe acute phases of myasthenia gravis.
