This medicine is used to treat disorders caused by insufficient progesterone production. It may be prescribed for premenstrual syndrome, cycle alterations, breast nodules, premenopausal menstrual irregularities, and as part of hormone replacement therapy during menopause. For vaginal use, it serves as a supplement during the post-ovulation phase (in cases of difficulty conceiving) or to prevent recurrent miscarriages due to progesterone deficiency.
