    This medicine is used to treat ulcerative colitis (mild to moderate if used alone, or severe if combined with other medicines) and Crohn's disease. It is also indicated for rheumatoid arthritis, when other drugs such as NSAIDs have not been effective, and to prevent relapses of ulcerative colitis.
