    This medicine is used by adults for the control of high blood pressure, the treatment of angina pectoris (chest pain), the prevention of further heart attacks, the treatment of tremors, anxiety and tachycardia, the prevention of migraine, the treatment of excess thyroid hormones, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy and pheochromocytoma. In children and adolescents, it is indicated for the control of cardiac arrhythmias.
