It is used to relieve vaginal symptoms such as dryness and irritation (vaginal atrophy) caused by the decrease in estrogen after menopause. It is also indicated for inflammation of the vaginal mucosa, vulvar itching, vulvar lichen sclerosus, and for scarring problems following childbirth or gynecological surgery.
