    It is an antiseptic eye drop used to treat certain infections of the eye and surrounding areas, such as conjunctivitis, keratoconjunctivitis, blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelid margins), and dacryocystitis (inflammation of the lacrimal sacs). It is also used to disinfect the conjunctival sacs before surgery.
