colchicine

This medicine is used to treat acute attacks of gout and to prevent recurrences. It is also used for the prevention of Familial Mediterranean Fever (and the associated amyloidosis) in adults and children, for the treatment of acute or recurrent pericarditis, and for the prevention of cardiovascular ischemic events in adults with chronic coronary artery disease.
