ceftriaxone

It is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections, including those of the brain (meningitis), lungs, middle ear, abdomen, urinary tract, kidneys, bones, joints, skin, blood, and heart. It is also used for certain sexually transmitted diseases, Lyme disease, for patients with low white blood cell counts, and to prevent infections during surgical procedures.
